In-The-Ear (ITE)

In-the-ear instruments house their technology
components in a custom-formed shell that fits
within the outer portion of the ear.
In-The-Canal (ITC)

In-The-Canal instruments are smaller still,
featuring a shell that fits down into the ear canal
and a smaller portion that faces out into the outer
ear making it almost invisible.
Completely-In-The-Canal (CIC)

These devices fit completely in the canal.  Only the
head of a tiny plastic line-with which you insert or
remove the instrument with-shows above the
canal.
Behind-The Ear (BTE)

BTE instruments have a plastic casing that rests
behind the ear and houses the device’s technology.
A clear plastic tube then directs amplified sound
into an earmold or a flexible earbud inside the ear
canal.
Over-The-Ear (OTE)

This light, comfortable on-the-ear instrument offers
an optional case style with directional hearing.  This
aid has a soft flexible earbud that conforms to the
canal for a secure fit.  It has a tiny micro-thin tube
that makes it less noticeable to those around you.
This aid is a great alternative for those who have a
difficult time adjusting to an in-the-ear product.

Receiver-in-Canal (RIC)

This is the latest technology
available with the receiver placed
in the canal.  The unique design
sets behind the ear with a small
tube running over the top of the
ear.  This aid is available in many
colors to help make it invisible
when matched with skin tone or
the color of your hair.  Some
products are also water-proof.
